I was given the opportunity of creating a new workplace for the growing Blu eCigs brand. Redefining their existing corporate headquarters offered a unique opportunity to create a work environment that reflects the core values and vision for the company as a whole. The result is a workplace that enables innovation and infuses Blu’s Brand into everything they do. An illustration of transformation, the new Blu Headquarters is located in the former office of Perkins+Will Charlotte. The heart of the design is the break room which creates opportunities for interaction and open communication with the entire office. 

 

New opportunities for collaboration and open communication are incorporated in a variety of meeting and pin-up spaces including the collaboration stations within the open workstations. Sustainable strategies include access to daylighting for all employees, reuse of existing private office construction, recycling centers, and the use of environmentally friendly materials.
