urbAN OASIS / RESIDENTIAL DESIGN

As an exploration of process, this project focused on finding a happy medium between the designer’s and client’s goals. Lily's home is an URBAN OASIS, a contemporary space that unites Lily with nature. Focusing on the positive effects of nature, the penthouse contains the 5 elements of earth, water, fire, wind + heaven which are based on the Japanese Buddhist beliefs. This connection with nature + spirituality reflects Lily's earthy and mystic nature. By using eco-friendly materials the design creates a sustainable + calming environment that recharges + inspires her. A welcoming living room, family room, + kitchen design allows for easy entertaining. The simplicity of modern design partners with organization + comfort to create a soothing space. ​
